22nd Rambling

Show today in West London, bit of a trek but pays well. Taking a small book to read while waiting to start called A Straightforward Guide To Creative Writing, started last night and sounds good.
Still thinking of the start back to full time work on Wednesday so mind is a little occupied with that so actual writing slow.
Let's see how I do later on.

21st Ramble

Morning, well back home after a weeks break in Great Yarmouth. The weather wasn't fantastic, but as normal the last day was perfect. Did a lot of walking and visiting the historic places, I want to involve GY in my book. Lots done and plenty to write about. I now smell like a herring.
Now the trick is to fit what I have into the story. Will keep you all informed of the progress.
Tat tar for now.

Monday Tuesday

Where does the time go? Here I am sitting on the sofa with a cup of tea thinking of the pending holiday.
Looking forward to the research that I will be doing when I get there for the book.
I do hope I can get the discipline to keep this blog up to date.

Signing of for now.

Wednesday's Ramble

I got my first critique yesterday of a piece (Memories And Waves) I did on the one word challenge on TB. I didn't win, not that I expected to, but the feedback was invaluable.
Copied below:

"This piece made me think of a series of seaside postcards describing childhood memories, written in a naive, almost childlike style. The senses are really at work here and in the clamour of the seagulls, fairground rides and noisy bingo hall; the taste of ice cream; the smell the contrasting sweetness of candyfloss and briny seafood; the sight people in silly hats and gaudy beauty of the illuminations by night; I could even feel the flimsiness of the tacky souvenirs! And, as a child, of course you were always knackered after a day at the seaside and so it ends with, ‘Time for bed’. Simple but sweet!"

Thanks SeaView for your comments.

Tuesday Ramble

Well life changing day today, start a new job end of the month.
